I wonder why I abandoned my blog all these days. I had my reasons, and look forward to being active at least from today....

The longest plot-less war in the American history
June 7, 2010, marked the 104th month of US military engagement in Afghanistan, making it the longest war in the history of the United States (American involvement in the Vietnam war lasted 103 months)...
This war indirectly has been a boon to Afghanistan which can be specified by the amount of military advancement taking place in that country. U.S is now committed to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2010 on a condition that they expand the Afghanistan military base and establish permanent military bases of America. Obama recently emphasized the fact that U.S. would strategically grow the military power in Afghanistan and also train the local soldiers to face the potential danger to the nation by Talibans and their friendly allies in Pakistan...In turn Afghanistan govt is completely depending on the U.S. troops for the country's internal security..
As far as the U.S.goes with a concrete mission of capturing Osama bin Laden, is indirectly providing military aid to Afghanistan and thus shelling millions of dollars which made the war a direction less effort. Interesting would be to see how the other allied nations taking part in this war, would react after the decision of the U.S. to start the withdrawal of its troops by the end of 2010.
